About

Theis Andersen Samsig

Father, husband, tech geek, fencing athlete — and all in all a good guy.

I’ve worked in IT since 1997 — across support, development, consulting, presales, infrastructure, security, cloud and business development. That breadth is the point: I can talk to the engineer, the buyer and the vendor, and translate between them.

Today I’m a technical business developer at Arrow ECS, responsible for AvePoint, Druva, Red Hat and IBM Cloud in Denmark and Iceland, and specialist on ArrowSphere and Arrow Cloud Backup, including object storage. I joined as country lead for VMware and Veeam cloud service providers, built an ecosystem of more than 50 partners, and guided partners through the Broadcom acquisition of VMware.

Before Arrow I was a senior security consultant at Dubex, a senior solution architect at Comit building a hosting platform and delivering infrastructure projects, and a senior systems consultant at NORRIQ NetPartner specialising in HPE. I’ve run my own company, mediaONE, since 2006.

Off the clock I’m president of Trekanten Fencing, a coach, and a fencer since 1989 — and I’ve chaired a cooperative housing association since 2015.

What people say

I had the pleasure of working with Theis during a two-month virtualization project. The customer had many specialized security restrictions. Theis used his technical skills to create a solution that could perform inside these restrictions. If you need deep technical virtualization skills or have a Gordian Knot that needs to be untangled, then you should definitely give him a call.

Bjørn Studsgaard Voss

Theis must be the best and most solution-oriented person I have had the pleasure of working with in the world of IT. Always completes the task at hand with a special eye for details. Theis has excellent communication skills, whether it is with customers in high positions, technical staff or colleagues. These professional skills combined with his wide range of Microsoft educations make Theis a superb IT consultant. I give Theis my warmest recommendation.
